Why is teddy day celebrated

When Roosevelt’s soldiers asked about killing the bear and why they were advising to kill the bear instead of saving it, Roosevelt responded by asking for help from the city until its treatment. Until then, the bear will die in pain. So it would be best to kill it immediately.

As Roosevelt ordered, a soldier shot and killed the bear. This news spread like a fire through the forest. After which people strongly criticized President Roosevelt.
