Papaya is such a fruit that you can get it easily anywhere. It is rich in fiber, minerals, vitamin C and antioxidants. This is the reason why papaya is considered very beneficial in reducing weight to keeping the body away from diseases. By eating papaya every day, the problem of heart diseases, diabetes, cancer and blood pressure is control easily. Even though papaya is very good for health, but for some people it can also prove to be harmful (Papaya Side Effects).

Pregnant women– Pregnant women should not consume papaya. Papaya contains latex and Pepin which can cause uterine contractions. Because of this, labor pain starts prematurely. It can also weaken the membrane that supports the fetus. However, these problems can arise when eating mostly underripe papayas.

People with irregular heartbeat– Eating papaya can reduce the risk of heart-related diseases, but if you are already suffering from the problem of irregular heartbeat then papaya can be harmful for you. According to studies, some amount of cyanogenic glycoside is found in papaya. This amino acid can form hydrogen cyanide in the digestive tract. Consuming papaya in large quantities can aggravate the problem of patients with irregular heartbeat.

People with allergies– People suffering from latex allergy can also be allergic to papaya. This is because papaya contains an enzyme called chitinase. This enzyme creates a cross-reaction in the body. This can cause problems like sneezing, difficulty in breathing, cough and watery eyes.

People with kidney stones– Papaya is rich in Vitamin C. The antioxidant found in it can work to increase the problem of kidney stones. Too much intake of vitamin C can lead to the formation of calcium oxalate kidney stones. It can also increase the size of the stone. This makes it very difficult to urinate.

People with hypoglycemia– Papaya is considered very beneficial for diabetic patients as it keeps blood sugar under control. However, eating papaya is not at all suitable for those who have the problem of hypoglycemia i.e. whose blood sugar remains low. This is because it contains anti-hypoglycemic or glucose lowering ingredients.
