Instant messaging app WhatsApp is working on a new feature for iOS users. This feature is named Disappearing Mode. This feature will focus on the privacy of iOS users. It will be different from the old feature.
This feature has been spotted by WABetaInfo, which monitors the development of WhatsApp. According to WABetaInfo, this feature is not currently available to the public. This feature can be released to everyone soon.
When this feature is enabled, users can send new chat to Disappearing Messages. The platform offers the option to share Disappearing Messages with chats that have already started. That is, you can start dispensing messages only after chatting with someone.
With its arrival, the Disappearing Messages feature can also be used with new chats. To turn on the old feature, users have to go to contact or group info and click on Disappearing Messages.
The upcoming Disappearing Messages feature will be the privacy setting for the app settings. Right now Disappearing Messages functionality gives support to delete the message after 7 days. According to a report, WhatsApp is working on 24-hour support in it.
It was spotted by WABetaInfo last month. Accordingly, this feature will be given to iOS, Android and Web / Desktop users through a future update. It is believed that a 24-hour option can be given in the Disappearing Messages section itself. Right now it is set to default on 7 days.
