US Tornado: Huge destruction due to hurricane in Kentucky [TKB World]

Eight people have been confirmed dead and eight others are missing at the candle factory in Kentucky. Apart from this, this storm has affected dozens of people. Eight missing people are expected to be safe. The outbreak also killed at least six people in Illinois. In Edwardsville (Amazon distribution center affected), four in Tennessee, two in Arkansas (heavy destruction in nursing homes) and two in Missouri died in the throes of death. Eleven people are reported to have died in and around Bowling Green alone. If we talk about the figures so far, 100 people have died in America.

President Joe Biden has called it the biggest tragedy in American history. He had said on Sunday that it cannot be said exactly how many people have lost their lives in this storm. It is being said that there was sudden darkness in the Kentucky area on Saturday. This severe cyclone had killed many people. Rescue teams are still trying to find survivors buried under the rubble of buildings due to the storm.

Rescue workers crawled into the factory

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear issued a warning on Sunday itself, saying that more than 100 people are expected to die in this cyclone. He said that- We are praying that perhaps the original estimate of what we have lost may be wrong. Let us inform that after the storm took hold in Kentucky, the most affected by this storm, about 40 people were rescued from the candle factory in a hurry. The storm was so strong that rescuers had to crawl inside the factory for help.

‘Felt like we were in the twilight zone’

Kentucky pastor Joel Cooley described the scene of the disaster as “It was terrifying, almost like you were in the Twilight Zone. There was the smell of candles as you walked through the factory and you could hear people screaming for help. Siren’s sound. I had not imagined all this together till today.”

More than 1,000 homes destroyed

Governor Beshear said – together we mourn this devastation, together we are going to excavate and clean, and we will rebuild and move forward together. Officials said a total of four cyclones hit the state, one of which was quite extraordinary, about 200 miles (322 km) long. This became even more popular because it came at a time of the year when the cold weather normally keeps cyclones in check. Beshear said of Dawson Springs – Half of my father’s hometown has been destroyed. He said, “We will have more than 1,000 houses which have been destroyed.”

4 degree temperature and power failure

The temperature in Kentucky, USA at this time is 4 degrees. The strong wind has destroyed the power supply. Around 300 National Guards are going door-to-door helping people clear the debris. The help of sniffer dogs is being taken to find the dead bodies. A woman named Kirk, who came to the ministry to inquire about the people lost, told that she was standing only 10 feet away from her boyfriend when suddenly the storm took hold. Lightning flashed in the sky. What if I took my eyes off him for a second, he disappeared. I have no idea where he went.
