US targets Iran-backed militia in Syria, tainted missiles

The US on Thursday carried out an air strike targeting the facilities being used by Iran-backed militia groups in Syria. The Pentagon said that there was an attack for a rocket attack in Iraq earlier this month. A civilian contractor was killed and an American soldier and other coalition soldiers were injured in this attack. To answer this, an air raid has been carried out.

This airstrike in Sariya is the first military action by the Biden administration. Significantly, Joe Biden emphasized his intention to pay more attention to the challenges posed by China when he took office. However, he did not talk much about the Middle East. At the same time, Biden’s decision to strike in Syria did not indicate an intention to broaden US military involvement in the region, but rather demonstrated a will to protect American troops in Iraq.

Shia terrorists were using the attack site: US Defense Minister
Defense Minister Lloyd Austin said, “We are fully aware of the targets that have been targeted, that there has been an attack.” We know who we have targeted. Speaking immediately after the airstrike, Austin said, “We believe the target that has been targeted.” It was being used by Shia militants. From here on February 15, there was an attack in northern Iraq, in which one person was killed. At the same time, an American soldier and other coalition soldiers were injured. Austin said, it was he who advised Biden to take this decision.

Biden will protect American and coalition troops
Earlier, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said the US action was a proportional military response, which was taken after consultation with coalition partners with diplomatic measures. Kirby said, Operation sends a message that President Joe Biden will work to protect American and coalition troops. At the same time, we have done this intentionally, which aims to end the situation in eastern Syria and Iraq. Kirby said, many Iran-backed militia hideouts have been destroyed in this air strike. It included several Iranian-backed terrorist groups, including Qatib Hezbollah and Qatib Syed al-Shuhada.
