US state of California : Wearing Mask Compulsory [TKB World]

Due to the increasing cases of a new form of corona virus in the US state of California, the administration is preparing to re-implement the rule of people wearing masks compulsorily.

The administration of California Governor Gavin Newsom has announced that the new mandatory wearing of masks will be in effect from Wednesday through January 15. This rule is being implemented at a time when the holiday season is about to start and due to increased movement of people, the possibility of increase in cases of infection with corona virus has increased significantly.

The rate of corona virus infection in California has increased by 47 percent during the last two weeks.

California Health Services Secretary Dr. Mark Galli said on Monday, “We know that people have been waiting for a long time for things to return to normal. To be honest, I want the same thing. It is a very difficult time when we have to take such tough decisions.”
