Pain– Body pain due to arthritis, back problem, digestive problems, diabetes and other age related illnesses, and due to this, sleep keeps on breaking throughout the night. It can be relieved through physical therapy. If your pain is so much that you cannot sleep at night, then definitely contact your doctor.

Neurological disease– Neurological disease directly affects the brain. Parkinson’s disease is common in people over 60 years of age. In this, vibration is felt in the body parts. Because of this, hot flashes are felt and there is no sleep at night. It takes too much heat and sweating. Your doctor may prescribe any medicine to balance the hormones, which will give you relief.

Sleep apnea– When you snore fast, it also breaks your own sleep many times. Sleep apnea problems are usually common after 40 years. Due to lack of sleep you feel like heaviness the next day. It would be better to contact the doctor and get yourself examined.

Foot shaking – Many people have foot shaking disease. Because of this, there may be a tingling or prickling in the feet. It can also be in the arms instead of the feet. This is called periodic limb movement disorder. 20 percent of people above 80 years of age have this complaint.

Mental health – Many people also become a victim of depression in old age. Depression, bipolar disorder and other mood disorders also cause difficulty sleeping. You may also feel this problem suddenly. Along with physical fitness, pay attention to your mental health and avoid stress.

Taking a nap– Many people start taking naps more during the day. If you are not able to sleep properly at night, then the next day, because of that, you start feeling sleepy in the afternoon or evening. Taking a nap does not make you feel tired in bed at night and do not sleep quickly. This ruins the entire routine of your sleep.

Heart disease– Heart failure does not make sleep properly due to problems in breathing, chest pain or rapid heartbeat. If you are feeling any of these symptoms then contact your doctor. Changes in lifestyle can also provide comfort.
