We often hear and discuss about climate change. Despite this, we do not take it as seriously as we should.
This change is now becoming a threat to every aspect of human life. If this is not given serious attention at the earliest, then it will create a big crisis for human life.
In Canada, a 70-year-old woman is believed to be the first patient to suffer from climate change. It is being told that the woman had trouble breathing earlier in the summer and she also got heat stroke. Because of which she was immediately admitted to the hospital.
70 year old woman first patient of climate change
Doctor Kyle Merritt, who is treating the elderly woman, wrote in his diagnosis details report that this is the first time in 10 years that he felt that the real cause of this patient’s illness was climate change. At least 233 people died of heatstroke in British Columbia. However, in the COP-26 held in Glasgow recently, the issue of global temperature and extreme heat wave was also raised in the Climate Summit.
Heat wave kills 233 in British Columbia
Due to climate change, the temperature of the earth is increasing day by day. Dr Merritt says that instead of just treating the patients, we should identify the reasons which are in dire need. According to Canada’s local daily newspaper ‘Times Columnist’, people in British Columbia faced terrible heat conditions this year. The air quality worsened 40 times for the next 2-3 months. At least 233 people have died from heatstroke in British Columbia.
Climate change has become a big problem for the world
After this matter came to light by Nelson of British Columbia, all the doctors and nurses have formed an organization named Planetary Health. At present it has 40 healthcare professionals. Along with this, this group has also prepared its Twitter page. Dr Merritt says that people have shown seriousness about the damage being done to the environment or the rapid degradation in it. But for this there is a need to make people aware. Only then this crisis can be dealt with.
