As per US Secretary announcement they designated a total of 10 countries as special concern including Pakistan, China, Myanmar and Saudi Arabia where they think serious violations of religious freedom supported by those countries. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement that the US administration is committed to supporting every person’s right to freedom of religion or beliefs. As per US State Department, the right to religious freedom is being attacked in a continuous manner in those countries so US is listing them under the concern list countries.
“I designate China, Pakistan, Myanmar, Eritrea, Iran, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan as countries of ‘particular concern’, which support religious freedom,” Blinken’s statement said is marked as a serious violation because US only believed in freedom of the people.
Due to the name of China in this list, the ongoing sourness between the two countries may increase further, China always blame US for naming them with violation and this time it will heated up the relationship between the two countries.
