Government of India will start the project of Sagarmala Sea-Plane Service on a few selected routes. The Sagarmala Sea-Plane service will be implemented by the Ministry of Shipping and Waterways.
Significantly, the seaplane services under this project will be operated under the ‘Udaan’ (Common Citizen of Ueda country) initiative.

Lakshadweep Islands
Guwahati Riverfront
Yamuna Riverfront
Umrangso Reservoir
Mumbai
Dwarka
Kandla
Khindsi dam
Ira Dam
Current Seaplane Service in India
Maritime air service is already operational between Kevadia and Sabarmati riverfront in Ahmedabad. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, 2019. The service is operated by Spice Shuttle, a subsidiary of Spice Jet. It is currently the only seaplane service in the country.
