The deadline to link PAN card with Aadhaar (Pan-Aadhaar Link) has been extended again. The date of March 31, 2023 was fixed earlier. But now it has been decided to extend it by three months. Now Pan Card and Aadhaar Card will be able to be linked till 30 June 2023. After the decision of the Finance Ministry to increase the last date for linking PAN with Aadhaar, it has been clearly said that if the new fixed date i.e. 30 June 2023 fails to do linking, then Your PAN card will be of no use.
PAN will be deactivated after June 30
If you do not link PAN-Aadhaar, your Pan Card will be deactivated. If this happens, then card holders will not be able to do things like mutual funds, stock market investments. Not only this, in today’s time, from opening a bank account to real estate or any other deal, PAN card is the most important document. So even though the deadline has been extended, it is prudent to get this work done as early as possible without waiting for the last date.
When the Pan Card is deactivated, if you use it as a document for any financial work, then you may be fined up to Rs 10,000. Under Section 272B of the Income Tax Act, there is a provision for this much fine.
