Smartphones outpaced once during 7 days (15 to 21 October) during the festive sale in the country. The hero category is smartphones which sold the most in the shopping category and acquired 47% share of the total festive sale.
As per research firm RedSeer smartphones worth Rs 1.5 crore were sold every minute on the online platform in the first week of the festive sale.
As per compare with the last year fashion did not have a major contribution in the festive sale, but this time the fashion share reached 14 percent. While the demand for formal and festive wear is still low. It was duly for the reason because demand for categories such as home and home furnishing has increased strongly due to work-from-home and study-from-home infrastructure. As per brand Mi India that the company sold 50 lakh handsets on Amazon, Flipkart and mi.com platform during the 7 days festive sale.
