NASA DART Mission: Earth-saving test successful, NASA’s spacecraft collides with asteroid [TKB Science]

NASA has create history. For the first time a Planetary Defense Test ie Dart Mission was successfully completed. Now if there is a possibility of any kind of asteroid attack on the earth in future with this technique the earth can be saved. Because in the future, if there is anything that threatens our blue planet, then it is asteroids. After this there is climate change or global warming.

The Dart mission collided with the moon-like stone Dimorphos of the asteroid Didymos on 27 September 2022 at 4.45 am. DART means (Double Asteroid Redirection Test – DART). Purpose accomplished. The spacecraft has collided with an asteroid. In which direction is Dimorphos turning? Its data will take some time to come.

IMPACT SUCCESS! Watch from #DARTMIssion’s DRACO Camera, as the vending machine-sized spacecraft successfully collides with asteroid Dimorphos, which is the size of a football stadium and poses no threat to Earth.

The Italian CubeSat for Imaging Asteroids (LICIACube) monitored the Dart spacecraft throughout this mission. Could not hit the spacecraft at high speed. The danger was that instead of colliding with Dimorphos, it could leave in some other direction in space. This will fail the mission. If there is a change of one degree angle in the position of Dimorphos, that is, we will be saved from his attack.
