What will happens when money comes suddenly in your account , you must will be surprise . But this has happened in the UK, where Santander Bank has made this big mess. The bank sent the amount £130 million to 75 thousand people from 2 thousand accounts of the bank itself. Now there is a headache for the bank that how to get the money sent back.
This glitch on the part of Santander happened on December 25. The special point is that this money from Santander went to the account holders of rival banks like Barclays, HSBC, NatWest, Co-operative Bank and Virgin Money. The challenge for Santander is how does they withdraw money from these bank account holders? The money which has been sent to the accounts towards the bank is £130 million (Rs 1300 crore).
According to The Times, Santander Bank is also afraid that this money will not be returned to the bank. Because people must have spent it during Christmas. In such a situation, there is a possibility that the bank will forcefully ask the bank customers to send the money back. On the other hand, the other option with the bank is to go to those customers by itself and beg a request to return back this money.
Meanwhile, a statement has also come from the bank, which states that all this has happened due to technical fault. Which by mistake went to another account. However, even before this, a technical problem had come to the fore in the bank, then the customers of the bank were not able to use online banking in August.
