According to the Hindu calendar, a coincidence similar to Dwapar Yuga is being made on Janmashtami today. This year on Krishna Janmashtami, the moon is in Taurus. It is said that when Lord Krishna was born in the Dwapar era, a similar yoga was formed. Some special things are required for the worship of Lord Krishna on Janmashtami. It includes Bal Gopal’s swing, small flute, new jewellery, crown, basil leaves, sandalwood, Akshat, butter, saffron, small cardamom, Kalash, turmeric, betel leaf, betel nut, Ganga water, throne, perfume, coins, white cloth, red cloth, kumkum, coconut, mauli, cloves, lamp, mustard oil or ghee, incense sticks, incense, fruits and camphor and peacock feather.

How to worship Shri Krishna on Janmashtami (Janmashtami 2024 Pujan vidhi)
On Janmashtami, the child form of Shri Krishna i.e. Laddu Gopal is worshipped. After taking bath in the morning, wear clean clothes and take a vow to fast. On this day, start worshipping Bal Gopal after decorating him with rituals. First of all, bathe Krishna with milk. Then bathe him with curd, honey, sugar and finally Gangajal. This is called Panchamrit. After this, dress the Lord in new clothes. Decorate his forehead with a crown of peacock feathers and give him a new flute. Use sandalwood and Vaijayanti garlands for decoration.
