Retired Justice Wajihuddin Ahmed, a former leader of Pakistan’s ruling party PTI, has claimed that now-separated leader Jahangir Khan used to pay up to Pakistani Rs 5 million per month for household expenses of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Questioning Imran Khan’s honesty, he has said that many people of the party used to fund Imran Khan to run the house.
Wajihuddin Ahmed has made this allegation on Imran Khan while speaking in Pakistan’s TV program, ‘Tabdili’. He said, ‘It is absolutely wrong to think that Imran Khan is an honest man. He never ran his own house for years. Initially people like Jahangir Tareen used to give 3 million Pakistani rupees to run their house.
Ahmed further said, ‘Then it happened that if 3 million rupees would not work, then he started giving 5 million rupees there. I would like to reiterate his point that a person who doesn’t even have his own shoe laces, how can he call himself honest?’
However, after the uproar over this statement, Jahangir Khan Tareen has dismissed all the allegations of Wajihuddin Ahmed. Tareen said he never paid “a single penny” to run Imran Khan’s luxurious house in Bani Gala, Islamabad.
Tareen wrote in one of her tweets, ‘Despite the current state of my relationship with Imran Khan, the truth must be told. I did whatever I could to help PTI in building a new Pakistan but never paid a single penny for Imran Khan’s household expenses.
