Get Covid-19 vaccine, get more interest on FD, this bank started the scheme (TKB-Update)

With a view to encourage people to get Covid-19 vaccine introduced, the Central Bank of India has started a new scheme. The bank has announced to pay a quarter percent more interest on FDs to people who have been vaccinated for Corona.

The Central Bank has said that 25 basis points (0.25 per cent) will be given more interest on fixed deposits (FD) to those who have got the Corona vaccine. Senior citizens will be given 25 basis points separately on this, i.e. they will get 50 basis points more interest.

What is offer plan

The bank has brought a special deposit scheme ‘Immune India Deposit Scheme‘. This scheme is for 1111 days i.e. on FD of more than 3 years. Those who have got the vaccine will get 25 basis points more interest than the normal FD rates.

The purpose of this offer is to encourage citizens to get Corona vaccine. The bank said that people should get the vaccine as soon as possible and take advantage of this offer, because this offer is for limited period.

How much interest will you get

It is worth noting that the Central Bank currently pays 5.10 percent interest on FDs of 3 to 5 years. That is, people who get the Corona vaccine can get interest of 5.35 percent on this special scheme for more than 3 years.

Significantly, the second wave of Corona is going on in the country and the cases have reached the record level. In view of this, a large-scale vaccination campaign is being carried out. The government has given permission to all people above 45 years to get vaccinated.
