EU preparing new travel rules, many European countries in the grip of ‘Omnikron’ [TKB World]

The European Union (EU) is preparing to change the rules related to travel. It also includes a time-frame plan regarding the vaccine against Covid-19. Under this, it has been recommended to allow the vaccinated person to travel in union and group countries with a validity of 9 months. Along with this, the EU has also decided to give priority to travelers who have received the vaccine. Omnikron, a new variant of the corona virus, has been knocked in many countries of the union.

According to documents obtained by Bloomberg, the European Commission has proposed that member states have received the vaccine approved by the group allowing those travelers to come to EU countries. Along with this, countries have been asked to start things again from January 10 for travelers taking vaccines that have been approved by the World Health Organization. The EU’s Justice Commissioner Didier Reinders announced new internal travel arrangements on Thursday.

This system is more based on the vaccination status and recovery of the person than the case of corona infection in the countries. The validity of the Covid vaccination has been talked about in the new updates. It states that after the time of 9 months, a booster will be needed. However, the EU said that it was not ready to issue a time period on the certificate based on the booster shot.
