Corona cases in America: More deaths from Omicron than Delta variant of Corona in America [TKB USA]

Corona infection continues to wreak havoc in America. The Omicron variant of Corona, which is spreading rapidly around the world, has increased the concern of the US administration. There are more deaths due to the Omicron variant than the Delta variant. The US administration has feared that it will increase further in the coming days. If we look at the figures, Omicron in America seems to be causing more havoc than Delta. After the outbreak of the Omicron variant, the daily death toll in the US started increasing from November 2021 onwards.

On Thursday, 2,267 people died due to infection in the US. This figure is much more than the deaths at the peak of the Delta variant. Because in the US in September 2021, when the cases of the Delta variant were at the peak, even then the highest number of 2,100 cases were reported in a single day.In America, most cases of infection are now being linked to Omicron itself. Previous research reports may have described Omicron as less severe, but the fact is that the Omicron variant is making more people sick than the other variants. America ranks first in the world in terms of deaths due to corona infection.

According to Professor Andrew from the University of California,Omicron will cause more than 100K deaths in America. He said that when Omicron’s influence starts to subside, then there will be talk about what we could have done differently. So that these deaths can be stopped. He said that the symptoms of Omicron are mostly mild. Some infected people do not even have symptoms. But it can be as deadly as the flu. It can be fatal for older people.

Dr. Rochelle Valensky, director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, had issued an alert regarding Omicron. He had said that mild symptoms do not mean that people should be rested. Valensky described the horrors of Omicron, citing the example of a man named Chuck Culotta. He had said that Chuck (50), living in Delaware, Milford, used to do his business. He was a perfectly healthy person. Before Christmas, he got infected with the Omicron variant of Corova. Less than a week later, on December 31, Chuck died.
