Constitutional right to abortion in America ends, SC overturns 50-year-old decision [TKB USA]

In the US, the Supreme Court has abolished the constitutional right to abortion in a major decision. By doing this, the court has changed its own five-decade-old historic decision where women were given legal status to have abortions.

The Supreme Court has said in its decision that the Constitution does not give the right to abortion. The ‘Roe Vs Wade’ case has been dismissed from our side. The court has definitely said that all the states of America can make their own rules and laws regarding abortion.

Now the historic decision that was overturned was given by the Supreme Court of America in the year 1973. The name of the case was Roe vs. Wade. In that case, a woman named Norma McCorvy had two children and the third was about to arrive. But McCorvey did not want that third child, so she approached the Federal Court of America. But then the Federal Court did not allow her to have an abortion.

Then, McCorvy approached the Supreme Court. Then the Supreme Court, while ruling in her favor, allowed her to have an abortion. Then the court had said that what to do with the pregnancy, it should be the decision of the woman. It was only after this decision that women in America got the right to safe abortion. But now after so many years, the Supreme Court has reversed its decision, due to which the people in the country is very upset.

In view of the situation, President Joe Biden has also addressed the name of the country. He appealed to the people opposing the decision to keep the protest peaceful. He said that the Supreme Court is taking us on a very dangerous path. But still all the people protesting should not take the law into their way. By the way, former US President Barack Obama has also not welcomed this decision of the Supreme Court. He has called it a direct violation of privacy. They say that the court has not only withdrawn a 50-year-old order, but has directly attacked the personal liberty of Americans.
