Apple’s smartphones are considered to be secure, but Chinese hackers have alsoact it by hacking. Tianfu Cup Competition was held in Chengdu city of China from 16 to 17 October. The focus was on cyber security issues in this event.
According to the official website of Tianfu Cup, experts and professionals were invited to speak on the challenge of the digital world. In this, ethical hackers were also given the challenge of hacking operating systems, platforms and software tools.
In this, hackers hacked Windows 10, iOS 15, Google Chrome, Microsoft Exchange Server and other targets. For this, the total prize money was kept at $ 2 million . In this, taking advantage of the vulnerability of the system, a device had to be hacked within 5 minutes.
Tianfu Cup is considered very important in China because Chinese hackers do not participate in hacking contests of other countries. In 2017, Zhou Hongyi, the founder of Chinese cyber security firm Qihoo 360, criticized Chinese hackers who go out of the country to participate in such competitions.
Apple’s latest iPhone 13 Pro running iOS 15.0.2 was also hacked by hackers not once but twice. Apart from this, Adobe PDF, the Asus AX56U router, Docker CE, Parallels VM, QEMA VM, Ubuntu 20, VMware ESXi and Workstation were also targeted.
On this, Matan Rudis, head of threat intelligence at cyber security firm SentinelOne, told that this is a way of showing power. By this they are showing that they have capable people to work.
