The common man is troubled by expensive petrol and diesel. Sales of electric cars are increasing gradually. Meanwhile, a Mumbai-based startup company has introduced an electric car, which the company is describing as the cheapest electric car in the world.

This electric car has been introduced by Strom Motors, and has been given the Strom R3. The company has started booking it in India. Pre-booking of Strom R3 can be done in Mumbai and Delhi-NCR by paying an initial amount of just Rs 10,000.

Talking about the look, this electric car has three wheels, but does not look like a three-wheeler, the biggest feature of this car is that like a three-wheeler it does not have a wheel in front and two wheels in the back. It is exactly the opposite.

You will be surprised to see the electric car Storm R3, because it has two wheels in front and a wheel at the back. This small three-wheel car is being described as the cheapest electric car in the world.

Strom Motors says that its bookings will be open for the next few weeks. Beginning customers will benefit from upgrades worth Rs 50,000, which include customized color options, premium audio systems and free maintenance for three years.

The company claims that the Strom R3 can travel about 200 km on a single charge. It has a 4G connected diagnostic engine, which tells the driver the track location and the status of the charge.

If the company believes that on booking this year, the delivery of this two-seater electric car will start from 2022. According to media reports, the company has so far booked about 165 units of this car worth Rs 7.5 crore. This figure is just four days.

In the initial phase, the company has started booking Strom R3 only in Delhi and Mumbai. But soon bookings will start in other cities as well. Its starting price is 4.5 lakh rupees.

The company says that this car has been specially designed keeping in mind those people who want to travel within the range of 10 to 20 kilometers daily within the city. The cost of running this car is only 40 paise per kilometer. This car will be offered in three variants.

Strom Motors started in 2016. The company’s plant is located in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, which has a production capacity of 500 units per month. The riding cost of this car will also be very economical. The company claims that its maintenance is 80% less expensive than a regular car.
