In the latest update from a federal appeals court in the US which has restored a ban on abortion in the state of Texas. A few days ago, a court had stayed the law banning abortion in the state of Texas. The Fifth US Circuit Court of Appeals has reinstated the nation’s stringent abortion law in a one-page order issued late Friday. Under this law, abortion is prohibited after the detection of cardiac activity in the fetus in the womb. This condition occurs at six weeks of gestation when first heartbeats and heart related activities are mapped. After ruling the new law rape victims are also not allowed to abort, they are also bind by law and not allowed to exempted .

Nancy Northup, president of the Center for Reproduction Rights, who represents Texas abortion clinics, urged the US Supreme Court to intervene and stop this “stupidity”. So US District Judge Robert Pittman on Wednesday put a stay on the Texas law with the hope of preview the rule again. After this, some clinics started performing abortions on Thursday and also booked for this weekend schedule for abortion.

But within 48 hours, the appellate court accepted Texas’ request to overturn Pitman’s decision pending arguments. It has asked President Joe Biden’s administration to respond by this Tuesday. The Biden administration has brought this law.
