Americans getting bored with Corona vaccine; Only 40% took booster dose [TKB- USA]

The US government has started booster dose to fight fast-spreading variants Omicron, but ordinary Americans are not interested in a third dose. The vaccination centers are not as crowded as the government expected. According to the latest figures of the Central Health Agency, only 40 percent of the people have taken the third dose so far. Scientists say that Americans are now getting bored with the process of vaccination and this behavior may become a cause for concern in the coming times. Daily vaccination reduced by half

According to the US health agency Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), at the beginning of December, one million booster doses were being administered in the country every day, which has now come down to 4,90,000 doses per day. In the US, everyone over the age of 18 can get a booster dose.

Americans are not considering booster as important
A recent poll about the importance of booster doses has revealed that common Americans are considering the first two doses of the vaccine as more important and in their view the booster is not so important at the moment. The poll was conducted jointly by the US news agency Associate Press and the NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. The poll found that 59 percent of Americans consider the first two doses of the vaccine to be important, but only 47 percent consider the booster to be important.

Vaccination continues for 13 months slow
Jason Schwartz, a vaccine policy expert at Yale University, says recent data shows the country’s efforts to vaccinate with a booster dose are lackluster. Not only this, if we talk about the entire vaccination campaign, in the 13-month-long campaign, only 63 percent of America’s population has been able to get both doses. The government had also issued some orders related to its partial mandatory requirement to speed up vaccination, but they faced legal challenges.

Booster no longer optional
Policy expert Jason Schwartz says that people have to understand that taking a booster dose is no longer an alternative safety measure, all scientific facts have proved that people need a vaccine from time to time to deal with corona infection. A booster dose has to be given. It has now become a fundamental part of protection against infection.
