An ultimatum was given from Russia that by Wednesday afternoon, the Ukrainian army should surrender there. At present, it has been more than two months since the Russia-Ukraine war. The fight, which earlier seemed centered on Kyiv, has now moved towards the Donbass. For the past several days, the Russian army has been continuously attacking in the Donbas region. There have been inputs that Russia is now trying to capture Donbass instead of Kyiv. Ukraine insists that its troops in the region have inflicted heavy damage on Russia.

Ukraine claims that 10 attempts to capture Donbass were failed in the last 24 hours. The Ukrainian army destroyed 12 Russian military tanks, an artillery system, 28 armored vehicles, a Su-34 aircraft, a Ka-52 helicopter, 4 drones and a cruise missile in the Donbass. Russia is currently focusing on the Donbas area because most of the population here speaks Russian language. There has been a conflict between the Russian-backed separatists and the Ukrainian army since 2014. In such a situation, Russia wants its occupation there.
